(1789-1797)

He was the first president of the United States, who led the War for Inpendence against the British Empire. He supported the First Bank of the United States, an idea by Alexander Himilton. He ended the Whiskey Rebellion, and helped make the Bill of Rights. In his Farewell Adress, he stated that he wanted the United States to become isolationists, and also, to not split up into two seperate parties ..... well.... 

John Adams was a Federalist who served as the president for two terms. He made the Alien and Sedition Act and the XYZ Affair during the presidency. He also ended the Fries Revolution. The U.S during his presidency did not have a great relationship with France due to the French Revoltion and the aftermath of the Jay Treaty during Washington's presidency. 

He is a Democratic-Republican who served for two terms. The war of 1812 was during his presidency, which ended with the Treaty of Ghent. He supported the independence of Spanish colonies in the Americas. He made the Tariff Act of 1816 and also Macon's Bill No. 2.

He was a Democratic-Republican (Jeffersonian) who served for two terms. He made the Embargo Act and ended the Alien and Sedition Act. He also bought the Louisiana Purchase from Napoleon, promoted ideals of rebulicanism, and sent Lewis and Clark on an expedition to the West. He favoured limited central government than state government.

3. Thomas Jefferson

(1801-1809)

United States President from George Washington to John Tyler.

He is a Democrat who only served for one term. He is a very strong nationalist and opposed slavery in the U.S. He supported the building of nationaly-funded roads and canals. He tried to make internal improvements in the country, and he's also a supporter of the Ameican System. He used to be an accomplished Secretary of State before becoming a president.

A Democratic-Republican who served for two terms. He reigned over the Era of Good Feelings, he issued the Monroe Doctrine, and made the Missouri Compromise. He supported neutrality in Europe (Congress of Vienna). During his presidency, the Panic of 1819 occured. He also emcourage Congresss to give him constitutional power for the American System.

6. John Quincy Adams

(1825-1829)

5. James Monroe

(1817-1825)

He's a Democrat who served for one term. He made the Divorce Bill and the Independent Treasury Bill. He did not support the annexation of Texas. Because he wanted to delay actions to the end of the Panich of 1837, he caused the economic downturn, preventing it to continue for many years.

He's a Democrat who served for two terms. He introduced the Spoils System. The Trail of Tears, the Bank War, and the Panic of 1837 were all during his presidency. Unlike Monroe and Quincy Adams, he rejected the American System. He also approved the Indian Removal Act, and supported Texas' Independence from Mexico. 

8. Martin Van Buren

(1837-1841)

7. Andrew Jackson

(1829-1837)

He was a Whig (though a Democrat at heart) who served for one term. He refused the revival of the National bank and vetoed it. He secured the annexation of Texas, though he enraged the Cabinent and Congress during his presidency. 

He was a Whig who served in office for nearly one term. He died of pneumonia in office, whicd means he was president for only a month. During his short time in the office, he made his Inaugural Adress, which criticized the previous policies past presidents made.
